Devan 2 weeks!

Devan is growing up week by week. His facial expressions are changing a little, he's always wanting to eat..nonstop! Dante is sharing "mommy" with Devan now. He is understanding that mommy and daddy have to take turns with him. Dante still has his moments of jealousy, but I think he's coming around.

Spacial moment: Last night, Devan was wide awake and all he wanted to do was lift his head up and look at me. I would give him kisses on his nose and forehead. I think he loves when I do that.

Puffy Eye

Dante woke up with a puffy right eye on Monday. He came to us with a eye that was closed shut and he couldn't open it. It definitely scared all of us. Daddy took him to the Dr. and it was Pink eye. Well, at least that's what he thought. Wednesday night he had a fever and was vomiting around 2:30am. Daddy took him to the ER and Dr. said he has Bronchitis. Poor Dante, this week has been a bummer week for him. He also has new bruises, cuts and scrapes. Hang in there Dante, you are so strong!

Dante meeting Devan!

It was a special day for the brothers to meet.

Dante walked into the house and saw Devan in his carseat. We said meet your little brother, Devan. Dante dropped to his knees and repeatedly saying "that's my brother!" He gently brushed his hand on Devan's blanket and reminded us that he'll be gentle with him. It was very special for all of us.

Dante was also excited cause Devan got him a present. He got of course, more snakes! Dante was very happy!

Superbowl Baby!

On February 7th at 7am I woke up and started to feel pressure and cramping that lasted for 10sec. I thought maybe that's contractions preparing for the big day. After 5min I started to feel contractions again. I woke up Dantes and told him I just had two contractions. As I was sharing that with him, I had two more back to back. By this time we figured it out that Devan was coming! I did well with my breathing. I got Dante ready with breakfast, bath and dressed him. I knew this was the last day that Dante will be an only child. We got everything ready (Dante and my bag were packed ahead of time) and made sure I had Dante's lizards and snakes packed too. He can't go any where without his reptiles. It was about 10:00am when I started to feel pretty uncomfortable. Dantes had to coach me on breathing and making sure I was drinking fluids. He also gave me a stress ball to squeeze! Around this time the Magpayo's came to pick up Dante and his first time spending the night somewhere..I was so excited for him and also wanting him to be with me at the same time. Dante gave me a big hug and said "pretty mommy". I had a huge smile and knew he would be okay for the night. It's time for Dantes and I to go to the hospital!

Finally getting to the hospital, the nurse was waiting for me and had my room ready. The nurse checked to see how far I was dialated...I was 8cm!!! I couldn't believe it and I panicked because I was afraid I wasn't going to get any pain meds especially an Epidural. The nurse calmed me and said we'll give you epidural asap. I was so relieved! Everything happened so fast...paperwork, needles poking me, tons of questions asked, etc. I probably only had a good 45min of relaxing with Dantes and checking my phone.

Woohoo! I'm almost at 10cm and it's ready for show time! After 2 1/2 hours and 6 pushes, Devan John arrived at 1:29pm! Yes, I had a quick labor and fast delivery. We are so blessed and God answered our prayers for a healthy beautiful baby boy!

Valentine's Party

Dante got to go to his first Valentine's party from Mom's Club. He was the only boy there so he got all the attention. He seems to always be around girls, however in this picture you can tell he doesn't know what to do with so many girls around him. He passed out his dinosaur Vday cards and he received the cutesy cards from the girls. I heard one little girl excited to receive a dinosaur card..it was funny! He got to do Vday crafts and was way more into it than the other kids. :) I'm glad you had a good time, Dante!

Dry Diaper!

Mommy and Daddy are so very proud of you! You did it!! You had a dry diaper and underwear all day long! What a big boy running to the bathroom all by yourself. Keep it up, Dante!
