It's been awhile...

Okay it's been awhile since I've blogged anything about my kiddos. Let's just say 3 children really do  keep you very busy!! Dante is 6 1/2 in First Grade and is in the running club at school. I love that he is enjoying the running club. Maybe he'll be in track like his mom ;) He's an awesome boy and has such a sweet side of him that I want to absorb and take in as much as I can. He loves making me proud, but most of all I hope he wants to make himself proud.
Here is a brief list of what Dante likes:
Apples, carrots, salmon, mine craft, scooter rides, bike rides, tickling Chloe, playing and teasing Devan, Loves the movie Monsters University and Frozen, loves playing "Go Fish". He wants to be a Vegetarian when he grows up (aka veterinarian lol)

Devan just turned 4 and feels he has grown over night right on his birthday and he says he can't believe he's almost 5! Sloooooow down Devan, enjoy being 4 first! He's in his 2nd year of preschool and is making great friends. He loves making his Buddy Cade laugh by being silly and dropping to the floor. He's very loud and energetic. His smile is amazing and gives sweet kisses. He makes me laugh a lot!
Here is a brief list of what Devan likes:
nachos, cookies, candy, green beans, jumping, falling, sliding, swinging, dancing, gettin' crazy silly, making funny faces, screaming, Loves picking out his clothes, playing with Dante, Mine Craft, Monsters Inc, Monsters University, and Frozen. He wants to be the Hulk when he grows up.

Chloe is almost 2 (next month)..where does time go? She's a very sweet girl. She loves giving hugs and kisses with her eyes closed. She's dramatic and stubborn. She's talking a lot and singing...LOVES to sing! She is pure beauty. She's our sweet little girl.
Here is a brief list of what Chloe likes:
Coloring on walls, tables, toys and coloring books, climbing, singing, shaking her booty, giving looks, dolls, cars, chasing her brothers, has a special connection with her oldest brother Dante, Dora, Umi Zoomi, Mickey Mouse, Yogurt, crackers, cookies, raisins, apples, rice, Loves the Movie Frozen and Monsters Inc. and can't forget she loves shoes!
*I miss that she loved broccoli, green beans, & carrots. I hope this is just a stage and will love her veggies again. :(
I am tripled blessed with these wonderful children of ours. I love you so much!!!

Do they look alike?

Here are pictures of Dante, Devan and Chloe as newborns. We have another picture of Dante as a newborn on a coaster and Chloe and Dante look so much alike! Now, i'm looking at these photo's and WOW I think Devan and Chloe look alike!! Maybe she is mixed with a little bit of both her brothers. :) What do you think?

Our Newest Addition to our family!!!

Meet our beautiful sweet baby girl, CHLOE JUNE!!! She was Born in April and now she's almost 2 months old! We are so blessed to have a healthy 7lb 13oz baby girl. I love my boys and was ready to have another boy if that were the choice, but God gave us a baby girl to add to this family. What a beautiful gift she is! Her Brothers, Dante & Devan are very sweet to her. They love her and follow me everywhere I go around the house. It's sweet..and of course a little too much but I'll take it over siblings being jealous of a new baby.

Dante is almost 5 years old and he is a good helper when I ask him. He's very gentle and anyone new meeting Chloe he'll be bossy and tell them the same thing.."don't touch the head..gentle." He's pretty protective over her. I wonder how he'll be when she has her first date? Ay Ay Ay...I don't need to forward time to think about that. haha.

Devan is super sweet and loves her a little too much. I was very curious how a almost 2 1/2 year old would act towards her, but again he has taken it quite well. Sometimes he can be a bit rough with his kisses and a bit too close when he wants to talk to her. It's just something that Chloe is going to have to get used to cause believe me I've tried telling him over and over again myself.

It's been awhile since I've done any blogging about my boys and now we have Chloe to talk about. Stay tune..I may talk more ;)

Happy 4th Birthday, My Son..

4 years ago, we had a beautiful baby boy...Dante! I remember the last push I had I got to see your eyes look at mine for the first time. I remember how much you were a snuggle bug. I remember what a good baby you were..no cries, always happy and great eater. I remember your first words...flower, mama, dada and hi. I remember your first favorites..blueberries, bananas, elmo, balls, trains. I remember when you first said "I wuv you" to me without me telling you to say it. I remember when you were curious what was inside your diaper. I remember you taking the first steps. I remember you learning your ABC's & 123's so early on. I remember your silly faces. I remember you holding my hand while sleeping next to you.

And now...

You are still this amazing boy and growing up to be a very smart boy too! You're too heavy to carry, but I still love to snuggle up next to you in the morning. I love to still give you kisses on your cheek while you do your first morning stretch. I love to still watch you concentrate on something that fascinates you. I still love to make you feel better when you get hurt. I still love to make sure you know your manners. I still love to help you pick out your clothes. I still love to take you out for frozen yogurt. I still love to do so many things with you and I can't wait to do more! You are growing up so fast yet still my little boy.

When the shoe fits!

Devan loves trying on shoes! It doesn't matter what color, shape, style or if it's way too big like Daddy's! I look at this picture and think WOW..one day you will fit into these shoes! He will be a Man one day and I hope he becomes the Man that his Daddy is.

Snuggle Bugs

My little Snuggle Bugs are even cuter when they are together! I love to see them so close. I hope this continues on when they get older. Well..not the whole snuggle part, but the closeness that brothers can have!! :)

Dante took swimming lessons. He only took 5 sessions so he's not quite a swimmer yet, however he's doing pretty good at being comfortable in the water and kicking with a noodle. :)

Mother's Day

 I know everyday is Mother's Day, but when the Calendar event that happens in May for all of us MOMS, it just makes me feel....well..special!!! I made sure to hint to Dante that Mother's day is coming up and asking him questions what does he want to do for me or what does he want to make me? I love to find out what that little 3 year old is thinking. He told me he wanted to make me a card with a heart on it and that he wanted to make me Dinosaur Chicken. Okay if that isn't the sweetest and thoughtful idea then I don't know what is. I mean Dinosaur chicken??? That's his favorite!!! I definitely feel special now!! 

Mother's Day came around and we decided to do something fun for all of us! We went to Long Beach's Aquarium of the Pacific and had lunch there. Dante did make me a special card and yes it did have a heart on it :) We had a blast and it was a perfect day with my boys!

Another special moment to share is this heart eraser that he gives me a few times a day. It's a heart that Dante tells me, "it's for you mom and I love you." I purposely place it where I last have been and I know he can find it to give it to me again throughout the day. I love it!

Priceless

Screaming child, Yelling toddler, loud toys...so much fun! Right? Well...some days you can handle it more than others. This video was taken the other day where mommy didn't mind all that noise..even in the car! Dante had the permission to blow his party horn until mommy started driving. I heard Devan laughing so I had to capture the moment with them having fun together! Brother fun + loud horn = priceless.

Parenting 101

We have been taking this parenting class for the past few weeks and have been enjoying it. Dante comes with us and he goes into another room with kids his age to prepare him for preschool.

The purpose of this class has been for us to use the "right tools" at the right times. We have a tool box and we carry it everywhere we go, but doesn't mean we are mechanics? We want to recognize what are the right tools to use to correct or control the situation with our children. This class has helped us to do this. We know we are good parents and we know we make mistakes too. Isn't it important to keep trying to be the best we can? This is why we are taking this class.

Dante is a very good boy. He is smart and loving. He is also very active and knows how to get his way...or should I say we have let him be in control of the situation at times. I'm the parent and I should have the control. Right? For the most part, Yes. I don't want to yell at him anymore or reach my thresh hold to the point where I lose control and give in to make him stop whining or crying. When I reach my thresh hold   he also starts to yell back or get mad....so I already know that yelling doesn't really work. We are parents...it's normal to feel frustrated, annoyed, hopeless, and mad. We just have to learn to let it go and move on too. How am I doing so far? This class has been great and Dantes and I are learning a lot. It's stuff you hear all the time, but it's good to hear it over and over again to remind us how important these tools are.

Our favorite right now is "When" and "Then" tactics. When Dante starts whining or yelling NO to us because he doesn't like that he can't get what he wants we use the when/then tactic. For example, "When you pick up your toys and put it away in your room, Then you can go outside." Doesn't that sound super easy and I'm sure You have done this before right? It's the simple stuff to remind us how much these tips/tools really do help! Seriously, it does help!!

Dante seems to get shy and not want to go to "night school" in the beginning, but once we take him into his classroom he slowly adjusts and he's good to go. When we are done with our lecture we walk to his room  and he's so happy to see us! He actually plays hide and seek with us first so we can come to him. Then he pops out and shows us what he made for us during craft time. :)

Parenting class is fun! I feel like a great parent to be taking this class!!

Devan is a year old!!

We love you so very much! You are the most smiley, snuggly, cutest, and funniest baby! You always make us laugh with your silly expressions and I can't get enough of your hugs and kisses! You are growing up so fast!
