Roll with it

This is how Devan rolls with it..

Can you see how I have to kiss this boy all over? I love him from head to toe :)

How do you eat a cupcake?

How does Dante eat a cupcake? :)

Mommy eats the bottom of a cupcake and
Dante takes the top of course.

He holds it carefully and looks to see where
there is a good amount of icing on it..

He presses his lips before taking a bite...

and he says, "look mommy..mmmm!"

I love you MOM!

Happy Mother's Day, Mom! Thank you for being a beautiful mom. You always compliment me on how I'm a great mom and you are so proud. Thank you for the lovely comment, but it's because of YOU! I look back at my childhood and how you raised me...you were such a strong woman trying to do it all so I can have food on the table, do after school activities, do fun mom/daughter stuff. I know it was hard for you and if I didn't say thank you then, I want to say thank you now. You have a big heart and you have taught me to be a good person and to think positive. I want to wish you a Happy Mother's Day!
I love you Mom. xoxoooooooooooo

Happy 3 Months, Devan!

Devan, you are so sweet and a beautiful baby with those chubby cheeks. We love your dimple smile and your dainty voice. We love how strong you are, always pushing yourself to keep your head up, kicking and grabbing your hands. You have grown so much already! This Mother's Day will be extra special because I have two amazing boys!

An Only Child

I grew up being an only child. It wasn't supposed to be that way until my brother Scotty passed away. I was 3 1/2 years old when my brother had passed. My mom told me that I was a good older sister during the time we had with him. He died from SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome) and was only few weeks old. Unfortunately, the only thing I remember of him is "The Day" it happened. I only knew him for a few weeks, but I always have him in my thoughts and prayers.

Because of this, I had two wishes for my future family. The first wish I told myself is that when it's time to have children of my own, I want to use Scott's name if I have a boy. When Dantes and I found out we were having a baby boy we had decided the perfect middle name for our beautiful son, Dante Scott Rosete!!

The second wish for my family is to have at least two loving children. I was okay with being an only child, but I sometimes look back and wonder what it would be like to grow up with brother Scotty, or have another brother or sister. I didn't want that to happen to our Dante Scott.

Now I have TWO beautiful healthy boys, Dante Scott & Devan John! I have been so blessed to be a mother not once but twice! I love my boys so much! I would do anything for them.

I love my life.

Dante's Favorites

The other night I had fun asking questions to Dante to see what are his favorite things. Here's the questions I asked:
What is your favorite color? Orange
Favorite Fruit? Blueberries and Grapes
Favorite Vegetable? Green Beans (with a smile)
Favorite cartoon show? Backyardigans ( I think he chose this since it was on at the time)
Favorite bug? Spiders
Favorite Reptile? Snakes
Favorite Sesame Street Character? Big Bird (which I was very surprised he said this..it has always been Cookie Monster)
Favorite number? 2 (of course!)
Favorite letter? Z!
Favorite Shape: Circle
Favorite Sport: Basketball (I also asked what's his favorite ball too)
Would you rather go to the beach or mountains? Uhhhh, Ummm...Mountains.
Would you rather have a cat or a dog? Dog...puppy.

I'm sure these would change day by day, but it's fun to know and good to write down the thoughts that are going on in their little heads. :)

Eat It!

I'm not sure if you have been watching the Jamie Oliver Food Revolution, but it really makes you think about what you and your family are eating. He's not only concerned about what you are cooking for your child, but what the schools are feeding your child. Take a look at his website or watch one of his shows! Don't forget to sign his petition to make this country a healthier place for our children!

Dante is a picky eater and it's hard for us to find what he will eat healthy or not. Jamie Oliver says, as long as you make your food and it's not processed that's the way to go! So, a couple of days ago I made a chicken dish with broccoli and peaches over rice. I know Dante loves peaches, chicken and rice. Why wouldn't he like this healthy dish? WRONG! In a toddlers eyes mixing items together can ruin it.
Tonight, Dantes made spaghetti with meatballs and green beans. Unfortunately, the sauce is not homemade (that will be our next goal), but the good news is Dante ate it! He added a vegetable that we knew Dante liked and now we can say Dante likes spaghetti. It makes us happy we can add to Dante's "likes" on what he eats.
