Happy 6 months, Devan!

On Dante's 3rd birthday, Devan turned 6 months!

I don't know where to start. Devan has learned so much! Devan is about 17lbs (guessing), and more chubs all over! He's a very happy baby and loves to social with everyone. Just when he turned exactly 6months, he learn how to sit up, crawl, and stand up in his crib! Can we say, "Oh my goodness!!!" I know they say the 2nd child learns quicker from watching their older sibling, but that's way too fast for me. He is eating solids now, like avocado, bananas, carrots, and even prunes mixed in with his oatmeal cereal. He loves eating and his thighs prove it! He has two teeth on the bottom and now has the cutest smile to show them off.

Happy 3rd Birthday, Dante!

Dante had a great birthday with his family and friends on August 7th at Mama and Papa's house. We are so amazed how time goes by so fast and how our boys are growing so much! Dante turned 3 this month! He got a lot of fun toys and actually a lot more clothes too!

He's a very super smart kid with so much energy! Sometimes I wish he can share that energy with us too! He blows my mind when he talks and how he can come up with his own stories full of details of what this is or why is that..etc. Right now he likes to start his sentences with "Actually, I think..." and "Maybe it's a..." and it will be a very long explanation of some sort. haha.

He still weighs about the same in the low 30's and is getting taller. He has the smallest waist and little boy butt ever..I love it and just want to squeeze him! He is a picky eater, however he is getting better at trying something once. Our rule is if he tries it once and doesn't like it he doesn't have to eat it. Now that he tries it once he has discovered he likes new things. He used to only like chicken, but now likes pork and sometimes beef. Daddy makes the best pork in the slow cooker and Dante loves it!

Dante is all boy. He loves running into things and knocking it down. He likes to jump up and drop to the ground making a crashing sound. He likes bugs, reptiles, cars, dinosaurs and trains. Oh and sock puppets haha! His friend Hailey gave him a make your own sock puppet kit for his birthday and each of us made one of our own. Daddy's sock puppet name is, "sock a kahn", Mommy sock puppet name is, "mama sockie" and Dante's sock puppet name is, "Dante sock". We are having so much fun with Dante and loving every minute we have enjoying his young years.

Big Brother Dante loves his lil bro, Devan! He may love him too much. We have to be careful cause he wants to help in so many ways. He tries to carry him and he tries to hold him a lil too tight. Devan doesn't mind it though, he laughs at everything Dante does. I think i'm in for a treat when they get older!

Why? Did this really happen? What am I going to do?

I feel okay. I'm not okay. It's a blessing. It will be fine. Stay positive. I don't know. Who knows...

So this is what's going on in my head right now. Lots of changes is happening at work and it's time to move on. I will be fine and our family will too. I know this...but it still sucks. :(

5 Months for Devan!

I can't believe we can say Devan is 5 months! He's full of chubs and loud giggles! He can roll over both sides and grab his puffy feet. He discovered he has hair. When he's being fed, he likes to rub his round head and pull his hair. He's lifting his butt up and is able to scoot backwards.

Devan's first tooth is coming in. It's a little nub of a tooth, but boy is it sharp! His reflexes are getting faster too. If you hold anything in front of him..watch out he'll grab it fast!

Dante is being a great big brother. He loves to talk to him and help him put toys in his mouth. Dante tells me, "mommy, I'm feeding him!" He loves to rub his belly and tickle his feet. I can tell he wants to protect and care for his little brother. If one of us leaves, Dante makes sure we have said goodbye to Devan too. He doesn't want us to leave him out. So cute!

Devan's sleep schedule has been a tiny bit better. Hey, I'll take anything! Lately, he has been sleeping around 9:00 and waking up around 2:30am. I feed him and he's back to sleep until he wakes up for the day. I hope him teething doesn't interrupt his sleep.

He still loves to jump up and down on your lap or on Dante's bed. If I have him standing on the table it sounds like he's tap dancing. So, I think he'll be a tap dancer. haha.

Working Mom

I've been back at work for almost two months now and it's been going very well. I work part-time which has been good to have days off to be with my boys. It's nice to have both worlds...being with my kids and a working mom too. I'm thankful that I have two amazing baby sitters that are dear to my heart. They make it easier for me to go to work and not have to worry about my boys.

My sleep hasn't been that great, but i'm able to manage to go to work with a smile on my face. Well, as long as I had my coffee! I'm so blessed to be able to do both. I love that I can provide for my family and be that nourishing 'stay home mom' I always wanted to be. Honestly, I don't know how two parents can work full-time and take care of their children. How do you keep the house clean? I can't do it...i'm still learning how to do that with two children! I give all the parents a high five for what you do to take care of your family!

Dantes makes our family so much stronger. He works so hard for his family. I love you and respect you so much, honey! Thank you for being a great husband and a wonderful father. xoxo

4 Months

What does Devan like to do?

Devan is a very happy baby. He loves to scream with joy and show off his one dimple with a huge smile! It's fun to tickle Devan when he burst out a heavy laugh. He still loves to bounce on your lap and kick his legs nonstop. His favorite is watching Dante jump on his bed...that really makes him laugh.

At 15 weeks, he learned how to roll over. When he does he expects you to cheer him on and give him a "Yah" for accomplishing it. He's able to grab his toys and his favorite is his blue teddy bear. I love that he likes stuff animals. Dante as a baby didn't really care for playing with them.

This month, he will be sleeping in his own room so hopefully once he's used to being in there, he will sleep better through the night. I love that he's been in our room, it gives me peace and joy to look down in his pack and play to see him sleeping. ahhhh, my cuddly baby boy.

He's weighing in at 15lbs with rolls to prove it! It's been a lot of fun changing his diapers now that he can roll over. I get to see all his rolls from front to back! I love it!!

Guess What?!

Devan not only likes to suck on his fist, but has discovered his thumb! Yup..another thumb sucker!!! I wonder if big bro, Dante taught him that. ;)
