Lizards, Snakes, Spiders...OH MY!

Dante had a blast at his friend Parker's Birthday party! I bet it was Dante's dream come true to experience such fun! The party had a reptile show for the kids to see and touch as they please. All the kids were very excited...and I was amazed how brave the little girls were too! Dante loves tarantula's, snakes, turtle, and lizards so he couldn't' stop moving around jumping and have a big smile that he got to touch them.

Green Day!

Dante loves helping out around the kitchen. Since we don't have a lot of counter space, it's kinda hard for Dante to help out cooking with mommy and daddy. During the holidays, like St. Patricks Day we will make cookies together. He sprinkled green sugar on the cookies and on the floor! It was pretty much everywhere by the time he was done. It might be a lot of clean up afterwards, but it makes me so happy to see him feel he accomplished something in the kitchen. It was a fun day wearing green , eating green cookies and drinking limeade juice! Happy Green Day!

I can do it!

Dante is all about "I can do it mommy and daddy". If it's safe to do so, we don't mind him trying and exploring the world around him. This time he wanted to try to take a picture of me and Devan. Take a look, he wasn't too bad. :)

So Darn Cute!

I always see Devan smile in his sleep with his one dimple that you just want to kiss. Now, it looks like he's wanting to smile on his own...at least I want to think he is :)

I'm the mommy so I can say this...He's just so darn cute!

This is funny, I opened a yogurt juice for him after I shook it around. He didn't realize I already opened it and he started to shake it to mix it up...oops! This is the result of it! haha!!



Dante is always full of surprises...let's just say he keeps us on our toes! Most of the time, I have to be the parent and discipline him to teach him from right and wrong. Others, I can't help but laugh. I either have to turn away and laugh so he doesn't see me or burst out because sometimes I think it's okay to just let it go and don't sweat the small stuff. He's a very good boy with a lot of spunk! As we like to say to him, "I love my Dante!"

Bjorn to be wild

Now it's time to get wild! Okay, well not too wild. We finally broke out the Bjorn baby carrier to give us extra hands. I was too nervous to use it when he was days old and didn't mind carrying him as often as we did. Now, I want to make things easier for us and be able to open a jar of pickles, help Dante with his shoes and just walk around hands free. I love the way Devan looks up at us when he's in it...it's so cute!

I can't believe Devan is a month old already! He has changed a lot in a few weeks. We already know some of his likes and dislikes. He doesn't like the car seat so I've notice if I feed him first or put him in when he's sleeping he'll be okay. He doesn't like baths..which I thought most children do! I guess when he gets used to it he may. He doesn't like when you change his diaper before feeding...boy does he scream loud!

He loves when we give quick loud kisses on his cheeks and nose. He likes to lift his head up like a big boy and stare into your eyes. I love it too! He likes when you stand up and walk around with him and he likes laying on our bed while I do funny faces to him. He likes when I give him a massage on his legs and feet more so than his arms and belly. He likes when his big brother talks or sings to him. I think he just loves Dante when he hears he is near. I love all these things that we are getting to know Devan as he grows into each stage.

Devan is sleeping better these days. Of course we have good nights and bad, but overall he's improving with his sleep schedule. This has helped us a lot and we are finally feeling a little on track. Just a little... ;)

Brother Love

Dante is very proud of having a little brother around. He really enjoys the time he can hold him and lay with him. It's cute to hear Dante repeat outloud, "Devan's looking at me...he's not crying..he's looking at me". It's true though, a lot of the times when I have Devan close to Dante he will stop crying for a little bit. I can tell it makes Dante feel like a good big brother.
