Did 2010 just flash by so fast or what?...and is it for reals that Devan is 11 months and will be a year soon!? Wow..Craziness!!!
Our Christmas was special. Devan's first Christmas and Our first Christmas with two sons! It was also a nice New years at the Sendowski's house. The kids had fun and both stayed up til' midnight!!
Dante being over 3 year's old has expressed himself to the fullest. He has the best memory and reminds us over and over..and over all the information he knows in that 3 year old's head of his. We love it and he amazes us everyday! This Christmas he asked from Santa the famous classic game 'Hungry, Hungry Hippos'. That's all he wanted from Santa. Everytime someone asked him what he wanted for Christmas I had to teach him not to say hungry hungry hippos or he'll get 20 of them! So he caught on that only Santa should know that. :)
Something about boys and electronics go hand in hand. Literally! Dante is so good at figuring out the remote for the TV and excellent at Wii games too! He's a super good Wii bowler! He would LOVE for you to come over and challenge his skills. Also, our Droid phones is a piece of cake for him to figure out. He LOVES the game "Angry Birds". He taught me how to play it..again amazing!
He is average on his height and weight. He wears 3T clothes and shoe size 9-10. He's all boy. He loves running and sliding down the hallway landing on his knees. He has lots of bruises on his legs because he loves to fall on purpose. Again..all boy. He's 90% potty trained. He still sleeps with pull-ups on cause this mommy isn't ready to change sheets in the middle of the night. haha. What else about Dante..hmmm. Oh, he's still a picky eater, but getting a little better at trying things once. Right now he's very proud of eating carrots. He liked it when he was younger and then stopped. Thank goodness that he now likes 2 vegetables (green beans his first). His "new foods" he likes are, spaghetti with butter or little tiny bit of sauce, pork, grilled cheese sandwich or quesadilla, mushrooms on pizza, and fish with eyes (yup he calls REAL fish only if he sees it has eyes...like at mama and papa's house).
I'm sure I'm leaving out tons of new accomplishments on Dante for 2010, but you get an idea how our Dante has grown.
Now onto Devan...
He didn't want much for Christmas so Santa got him a few toys and Dante got him his first soccer ball. He actually wanted Dante's toys and Dante was playing with Devan's toys...OF COURSE! haha!
Devan is our baby boy and 2010 was so special with him. All the mile stones he has succeed and then some. Devan weighs 19lbs and his chubs is slowly disappearing (making sad face). He can wear 9-12 mos clothes and shoe size is difficult. He has very wide feet so size 3 is sort of what he is.
Now he is standing on his own. He still isn't very confident doing it, but soon I think he'll be taking his few steps. He's a fast crawler especially when he see's us coming to get him. He says a couple of words and uses his hands and arms to express what he wants to tell us. His voice cracks me up. I call it his "old man without dentures" voice. haha I love it! You'll have to hear it to know what I'm talking about.
My Husband, Dantes had a birthday in December and had some friends over to celebrate. Barb, one of his BFF's and I planned a nice Thursday night with pizza and lots of goodies that friends brought over. Thanks Amigos! If you are interested checking out patty's cakes & bakery in Fullerton it's super good! We had cupcakes for Dantes bday and it was a hit! Thanks Becky!!

Dantes still works late hours and is dedicated to his job. As we all should, he takes his job very seriously. He looks at it as not just a weekly routine and paying the bills, but also making a difference for his family. He wants to do more than better. He loves to read books on self-improving as a person, at his job, and as a father and husband. His attitude is very impressive. That's what I fell in love with. He is amazing! xoxo
As a Father, he is enjoying the relationship he has with Dante. He loves teaching him Spanish and Ilicano. Now that Dante is old enough, daddy loves he can help around the house and loves that he is always wanting to try to show daddy "I can do it!". He also loves seeing Devan starting to learn a few words and knows how to say "daddy" in sign language. Daddy just loves being a dad! He loves when the children make him laugh everyday. Dantes, you are a great father!! We love Daddy!!
For myself 2010 for the most part was great! Of course being huge waiting for Devan to arrive was so amazing...and Devan arriving in February was full of blessings! In the beginning when Devan arrived it was mix with happiness and confusion. Happiness because well I had another healthy baby boy who is so adorable. Confusion because I felt so emotional I couldn't give my 100% focus to Dante anymore. We had our mornings just the way we liked it...carrying him to the couch and watch one of his favorite shows and cuddle next to each other for a little bit before breakfast. My hormones were all whacked and my crying would come and go for a couple of weeks. I talked to my husband, Mother, My Aunt, and My Grandmother who helped me through it. Once I realized Dante was okay at learning to be patient waiting for his turn with mommy I felt much better. Dante is a great brother and terrific older son. This is when I started this blog! It will be my one year anniversary in a couple of weeks! This was a 2010 goal of mine to write in a blog to update memories of our children and to help me to express myself. Yah me!!!
I went back to work for a few months until I got Laid off. Yup, that was a shocker and it sucked big time! Here I went again with another roller coaster of emotions. My job wasn't just a job. I loved it and loved the patients and the relationship we had with them. For all of us, it was tough. Once I realized things happen for a reason, I knew being home with my children was going to be a blessing. I am now a 'Stay at home mom' for the time being and appreciating the time I have with them while they are still little. How can I not like that? :)
I have learned to like looking for sales, bargains, and even entered contests on twitter & my favorite blogs! I actually won a couple of things..nothing huge or anything but I still felt like a winner! :) Sooo...2010 I would say was still a good year in many ways.
The Rosete's would like to wish you a Happy New Year and we hope you make it your very best!! Love to you all! xoxo
My early 2011 goals for myself:

Exercise (doing a 5k for pediatric cancer) If you are interested in doing it with me..email me.
Get rid of stuff that we don't need anymore (clothes, toys, junk, just anything!)
More date nights and fun family days
Be creative!
